Our Mission
The mission of the Aviation Program at EMU is to provide exceptional flight training, while focusing on safety and customer service. Our purpose is to offer quality programs, technically sophisticated aircraft, outstanding facilities and knowledgeable faculty and flight instructors possessing a wealth of industry expertise. We take pride in the quality of our flight training and our aviation management education.
Flight training and ground instruction courses are based at the nation’s first Cessna Collegiate Center, the Eagle Flight Center, conveniently located at historic Willow Run Airport (KYIP)—only six miles from EMU's campus. All other courses are held on campus in Sill Hall, the home of EMU's College of Technology—School of Technology Studies.
EMU Aviation offers both FAA Part 61 and FAA Part 141 certified flight training programs at the Eagle Flight Center. Read more about the significance of being FAA Part 141 certified and the savings it provides.
