Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction
The Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction at EMU is designed to bring together teachers of grades K–12 to study curriculum and instruction that span the grade levels. Teachers will learn leading edge curriculum design and effective classroom practice, and how these ideas affect teaching in a multicultural society.
This program is designed for full-time practicing professional educators and emphasizes practical application as well as theoretical understanding. It is particularly appropriate for curriculum supervisors and individuals interested in curriculum issues that are important across grade levels or subject areas.
The program will provide you with principles and practices you can immediately apply in the classroom. The principles you will learn have proven extremely valuable for individuals involved with curriculum issues across grade levels or subject areas.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the curriculum and instruction program will work as professional educators, as district curriculum coordinators, department heads or in leadership positions in the education field.
Number of Credits
The 31 credit hour program
does not require a thesis. Instead, portfolio guided coursework is used
throughout.

Accreditation
